Seller terms
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Draft, to be checked by a lawyer before seller accounts open.
1. Who we are
The Zawda platform (zawda.com) is run by [to be completed], [to be completed], [to be completed]. Contact: info@zawda.com.
2. Two ways to sell
Reseller: you choose products from the Zawda catalogue and share your link. Zawda sells, takes the payment, delivers and handles customer service. You earn a commission on each order placed within 30 days after a click on your link (the last reseller link clicked counts).
Vendor: you sell your own products on Zawda. Zawda collects the buyer's payment on your behalf. You ship within 2 working days with a tracking number, or deliver a nearby customer yourself, or the customer collects the order in your shop with their code (click and collect), and you remain responsible for the product (safety, EU rules, legal guarantee, rights to the photos).
3. Commissions and fees
Reseller: 10% of the price without VAT by default; some products have their own rate, shown in your space before you choose them. Vendor: Zawda keeps 10% of the price without VAT plus EUR 0.50 per order (the rate in force when you signed up, or the one agreed with you; some products have their own fee); you receive the rest. Dropshipping: you set your price; you receive the price without VAT minus the supplier cost and delivery, and minus the same Zawda fee. The lowest price shown in your space covers these amounts. The amount of each sale is fixed when the order is placed and shown in your space.
4. Your wallet
Each sale is credited as "pending" once the order is paid. 14 days after delivery, when the buyer can no longer withdraw, it becomes "available". A return or cancellation takes back the matching share, before or after that date. You can ask for a payout from 20 EUR available, to a bank account in your name. Zawda pays within about 5 working days.
4a. Delivery, cash on delivery and returns
When your product sets the delivery fee the buyer pays, that fee (without VAT) goes to you, if this option is on in Zawda's settings. A return of part of an order takes back the share of the items sent back, never the delivery; if the buyer sends back the whole order within the withdrawal period, the law requires refunding the standard delivery too, which is then taken back from you once. If you deliver yourself, you can attach photos of the handover: they help in a dispute. Cash on delivery is offered only where Zawda has opened it; if you cannot collect cash, untick it on your shop page and it is never offered for a basket with your products. Your shop codes and shop sales are paid by you: they come off your share.
5. Required information
EU law (DAC7) requires Zawda to know its sellers and to report each year to the tax authorities what it paid them. You give accurate identity details (and, for a business, its registration) before the first payout. Buyers see your shop name and whether you are a business or a private person.
5a. How your products are ranked
In categories, brands and search, the default order shows products featured by Zawda first (never paid for), then shops by a quality score from 0 to 100: customer reviews, shipping on time, cancellations, sales in the last 30 days, a 30-day bonus for a new shop, paused shops last. You see your score on your dashboard. Fees and plans have no effect on this order; only sponsored products, always marked, are paid for. Details: how products are ranked.
6. Not allowed
Counterfeit, dangerous or illegal products, or used products sold as new; copied photos; misleading ads or spam to share your link; buying through your own link to earn a commission.
6a. Buyers' data
For your orders you receive the buyer's name, delivery address, phone and note, never their email. You use them only to prepare, deliver or take back those orders, keep them safe and do not keep them longer than needed (accounting duties aside). No marketing outside Zawda: to write to a customer, use Zawda's messages.
7. Suspension
Zawda can refuse an account or a product, and suspend an account that breaks these terms. Money owed for genuine sales is still paid, minus returns and amounts wrongly received.
8. Taxes
You declare your own income. A VAT-registered seller remains responsible for its own VAT.
9. Billing mandate
You authorise Zawda to issue, in your name and on your behalf, the invoices and credit notes for your sales on Zawda (own products and dropshipping), numbered in a series of your own. You find them in your seller space, under Invoices. You check that your details (legal name, address, registration, VAT number) are correct and you remain responsible for the tax wording and the VAT of these invoices. You can dispute an invoice within 15 days by writing to Zawda.
